Staff Report
The
Mid-State Conference acquitted itself very well in regional competition on
Saturday. Three conference teams advanced on each side of the competition.
On the boys’
side, F=rankling finished third at Greensburg. The Cubs were led by the 10th
place finish of Ryan Atkinson. Plainfield was fourth at the tough Ben Davis
Regional. They were led by Dalton Boyer who ended eighth. Finally, Martinsville
ended fourth at the Brown County Regional.
The girls
performed equally as well. Plainfield was third at Ben Davis, led by the 12th
place finish of Kylie canon. Franklin was third at Greensburg. They were paced
by Kyleigh Brown in eighth. Greenwood was fourth at that same meet. The Woodmen
saw Amy Hicks take 14th individually.
One
individual runner from the Mid-State qualified for next week. Sutton Knapp of
Decatur Central ran 13th at Ben Davis.
